The Hacettepe Foundation for Education, Research and Services was established in 1998 to support education, research and services provided by Hacettepe University at all levels, therefore, to help the university attain excellence in the contemporary academic standards,  and to contribute to the development of the University and of the country.

Within the boundaries of legal descriptions, the Hacettepe Foundation for Education, Research and Services carries out its activities both at home and abroad in order to;

(a)   collaborate with the University and its subsidiary organs, state organizations and other national or international instituitons,

(b)   fund the establishment  and operation of  service areas such as hospitals, out-patient clinics, and  nurseries for  children or the elderly.

(c)   fund the establishment  of educational institutions at primary, secondary or university levels or go in a partnership with the established ones,

(d)   help speed up the development of the country  scientifically, culturally, socially and economically.

(e)   provide all sorts of support for the research and development activites of the University,

(f)    organize seminars, conferences and courses to help young researchers  at the University,

(g)   provide scholarships to successful and talented students both at home and abroad.

(h)   help the needy people by providing them with the necessary healthcare and medication and the needy students with necessary educational materials and bursaries.

(i)    purchase or lease out  patents, copyrights, etc. that would  help the progress of science and support public services  by means of advanced  technological devices to provide top quality services.

(j)    establish and operate medical, agricultural, social, commercial and industrial  facilities to enlarge the University’s  areas of research and development and to increase the income of the Foundation,

(k)   offer comprehensive educational courses, seminars and certification programs.

Educational activities at the Hacettepe Foundation for Education, Research and Services are carried out by both Hacettepe University academics and private sector experts.  Courses  are supported by computer assisted methods and skill-based  applications.  Continuous educational  feedback is obtained  by means of evaluation questionnaires regularly given to the learners at the end of each course term.
